Ⅰ.KYN28 Power Supply Operation

1. Use the trolley to push the circuit breaker trolley (or PT trolley, isolation trolley, fuse trolley) into the KYN28 switchgear; when the trolley enters the cabinet, pull the left and right handles of the trolley inward simultaneously to position II and push the trolley into the test position of the switchgear. Then push the left and right handles of the trolley outward simultaneously to position I, so that the trolley pushing mechanism is reliably locked with the switchgear.
2. Insert the secondary plug of the trolley into the secondary socket of the KYN28 switchgear and lock it with the fastener;
3. Close the rear door (cable compartment door) and front door (circuit breaker compartment door) of the KYN28 switchgear; open the grounding switch operating flap, open the grounding switch with the grounding switch operating handle (counterclockwise direction), remove the grounding switch operating handle, close the grounding switch operating flap, and confirm that the grounding switch is in the open position.
4. Check that the control, closing, signal, AC and busbar voltage power switches (or secondary fuses) in the instrument compartment are in the closed position, and after measuring that the power supply voltage is within the normal range, close the instrument compartment door.
5. Operate the circuit breaker (in the switchgear test position) once each for closing and opening using local or remote control, and confirm that the circuit breaker control circuit wiring and signal circuit display are correct.
6. Open the trolley mechanism operating flap, use the trolley pushing crank (clockwise direction) to push the trolley into the working position of the switchgear (a "click" locking sound will be heard when the trolley reaches the working position), remove the trolley pushing crank and close the trolley mechanism operating flap.
7. Operate the circuit breaker (in the switchgear working position) to close using local or remote control.
8. Check that the A/B/C three-phase indicator lights of the KYN28 switchgear's live display are on. At this time, the switchgear is in a high-voltage live state. Measure or observe whether the busbar voltage and outgoing current displayed by the microcomputer protection device are within the normal range.
II. KYN28 Power Outage Procedure
1. Control the circuit breaker (located in the switchgear's working position) to open using local or remote control.
2. Check that the A/B/C phase indicator lights on the switchgear's live display are off. At this point, the high-voltage outgoing side of the switchgear is de-energized, but the high-voltage busbar side remains energized (hot standby state).
3. Open the trolley mechanism operating valve, and use the trolley pushing handle (counterclockwise direction) to move the trolley to the switchgear's test position (a "click" locking sound will be heard when the trolley reaches the test position). Remove the trolley pushing handle and close the trolley mechanism operating valve.
At this point, the circuit breaker is in the switchgear's test position, in a de-energized standby state (cold standby state). When re-energizing, steps 1, 2, and 3 of the power-on procedure can be omitted.
III. Operation of pulling the KYN28 trolley out of the cabinet
1. When the circuit breaker trolley (or PT trolley, isolating switch trolley, fuse trolley) needs to be pulled out of the cabinet, all steps of the power-off operation procedure must be completed first.
2. If grounding switch closing operation is required, first open the grounding switch operating valve, use the grounding switch operating handle (clockwise direction) to close the grounding switch, remove the grounding switch operating handle, and confirm that the grounding switch is in the closed position. (If grounding switch closing operation is not required, this step can be omitted.)
3. Open the front door of the switchgear (circuit breaker compartment door) and unplug the secondary connector of the trolley.
4. Place and lock the trolley transfer cart in the designated position in front of the switchgear; pull the left and right handles of the trolley inward to position II, and pull the trolley out onto the transfer cart. Push the left and right handles of the trolley outward to position I to reliably lock it with the locking holes of the transfer cart.
5. Check that the upper and lower static contact protection valves inside the switchgear are in the automatically closed position, and close the KYN28-12 front door (circuit breaker compartment door).
IV. KYN28 High-Voltage Cable Room Power Outage and Maintenance Procedures
1. Complete all steps of the power outage procedure.
2. Open the grounding switch operating valve, use the grounding switch operating handle (clockwise direction) to close the grounding switch, remove the grounding switch operating handle, and confirm that the grounding switch is in the closed position. At this point, the cable outlet side is in a safe grounded state.
3. Open the rear door of the switchgear (cable room door). Only after using a high-voltage testing device to detect and confirm that all conductive parts in the cable room are completely de-energized, can maintenance personnel enter the high-voltage cable room to perform work.
V. Operating Procedures for Power Outage and Maintenance of KYN28 High-Voltage Busbar Compartment
1. Complete all steps of the power outage procedure.
2. Reconfirm that the circuit breaker trolleys of the incoming line panel and the sectional switchgear are in the test position or the external isolation position, and confirm that the incoming cables or busbars are completely de-energized.
3. Open the rear cover plate or top plate of the high-voltage busbar compartment. Only after using a high-voltage voltage detector to verify that all conductive parts inside the busbar compartment are completely de-energized, can maintenance personnel enter the high-voltage busbar compartment to perform work.
Important Notice
For KYN28 high-voltage switchgear with two incoming power switches and one bus coupler switch in the primary system, there should be electrical interlocking between the incoming power switchgear, the backup incoming switchgear, and the bus coupler switchgear.
1. When both the incoming power switchgear (1# incoming switchgear) and the backup incoming switchgear (2# incoming switchgear) are operating simultaneously:
1.1 The bus coupler switchgear is strictly prohibited from closing; the bus coupler switch should be in the open and isolated (test position) state.
1.2 The incoming power switchgear (1# incoming switchgear) supplies power to the main busbar section I independently;
1.3 The backup incoming switchgear (2# incoming switchgear) supplies power to the main busbar section II independently.
2. When only one of the incoming power switchgear (or backup incoming switchgear) is operating, the bus coupler switchgear can be closed. After the bus coupler switchgear is closed, the incoming power switchgear (1# incoming switchgear) or the backup incoming switchgear (2# incoming switchgear) can simultaneously supply power to both main busbar sections I and II.
Precautions
1. After each step of the operating procedure is completed, it must be confirmed that the switchgear and trolley components are in normal condition before proceeding to the next step. If any obstruction is encountered during the operation, do not force the operation. First, check whether the operating procedure is correct, and then check and eliminate other faults before continuing the operation.
2. If the user or design has special requirements for the control and operation methods, the control and operation should be carried out according to the design requirements.
3. Switchgear power-on sequence: Metering or busbar PT cabinet – incoming line cabinet – outgoing line cabinet; Switchgear power-off sequence: outgoing line cabinet – incoming line cabinet – metering or busbar PT cabinet.
4. When inserting or removing the PT trolley, isolation trolley, or fuse trolley, the operation steps related to the grounding switch can be omitted.
5. The manual closing and opening buttons and manual energy storage device on the circuit breaker trolley are only used during commissioning or maintenance.
6. During power-on operation, the user should regularly inspect and record the equipment's operating status. If any abnormal phenomena are found (such as abnormal heating of components or abnormal noises, etc.), the power should be shut off for maintenance immediately.
The above operating procedures are the basic operating procedures for the KYN28 high-voltage switchgear. The user unit should also strictly follow the relevant regulations of the "Safety Operating Procedures" of its power supply management department for related procedures.
