GW4:
Designed for integral installation, the three poles share a set of bases, which is easy to install and suitable for places with limited space.
3. Operational performance
GW5:
The opening and closing torque is small, the operation is easier, and it is suitable for manual or electric operation.
Due to the horizontal rotation design, the arc extinguishing ability is strong, which is suitable for high-capacity current switching.
GW4:
The opening and closing speed of the split-center structure is faster, but the operating force is slightly larger, and it is often necessary to be equipped with a stronger operating mechanism (such as CJ6 electric mechanism).
4. Applicable scenarios
GW5:
It is mostly used in outdoor substations, especially suitable for occasions that require phase-splitting operation (such as single-pole maintenance).
Commonly used in new energy sites such as wind power and photovoltaics, and adapt to harsh environments such as strong winds and high altitudes.
GW4:
Applicable to compact substations or distribution systems, emphasizing space and cost saving.
Commonly used in urban power grids, industrial power distribution and other scenarios that are sensitive to installation size.
5. Other differences
Insulation performance: GW5 has a larger insulation distance and stronger pollution resistance due to its split-phase design; GW4 relies on the split-center design of the support insulator, and attention should be paid to insulation maintenance in a dirty environment.
Maintenance convenience: GW5's split-phase structure is convenient for single-pole maintenance, while GW4's integrated design requires three poles to be shut down for maintenance.
