Purpose and scope of application


ERW1-2000 series intelligent universal circuit breakers (hereinafter referred to as circuit breakers) are suitable for distribution networks with AC 50Hz, rated voltage up to 660V (690V) and below, and rated current 400A~6300A. They are used to distribute electric energy and protect lines and power equipment from overload, undervoltage, short circuit, single-phase grounding and other faults. The circuit breaker has intelligent protection function and precise selective protection, which can improve power supply reliability and avoid unnecessary power outages. At the same time, it has an open communication interface and can perform "four remote controls" to meet the requirements of the control center and automation system. The circuit breaker has a pulse withstand voltage of 8000V at an altitude of 2000 meters (corrected according to standards at different altitudes, and the maximum does not exceed 12000V).

■Intelligent controller performance:

Normal use and installation conditions


■Ambient air temperature
The upper limit does not exceed +40℃, the lower limit does not fall below -5℃, and the 24h average value does not exceed +35℃;
Note: The user should declare to our company when the lower limit is -10℃ or -25℃; the user should consult with our company when the upper limit exceeds +40℃ or the lower limit is below -10C or -25℃; the installation site should not exceed 2000m above sea level.
■Atmospheric conditions
The relative humidity of the atmosphere does not exceed 50% when the ambient air is +40℃, and higher relative humidity can be achieved at lower temperatures. The average maximum relative humidity of the wettest month is 90%, and the average minimum temperature of the month is +25℃, taking into account the condensation on the product surface due to temperature changes. If the requirements are exceeded, please consult with our company.

Circuit breakers and undervoltage releases with rated working voltage of 660V (690V) and below, the primary coil of the power transformer is used for installation category IV, and the auxiliary circuit and control circuit installation category is 1.

The circuit breaker should be installed according to the requirements of this manual, and the vertical inclination of the circuit breaker shall not exceed 5° (the inclination of the mining circuit breaker shall not exceed 15°)

The rated short-circuit breaking capacity and short-time withstand current of the circuit breaker are shown in the table below. The arcing distance of the circuit breaker is "zero" (i.e. there is no arcing outside the circuit breaker)

The maximum power loss of the circuit breaker is 360W. The changes in the rated continuous current of the circuit breaker at different ambient temperatures are shown in the table below.

c. Short-time delay overcurrent protection characteristics are shown in the table below

The short-time delay overcurrent protection is a time-limited protection. If the low multiple is required to be an inverse time-limited protection, its characteristic is designed as I²Ts= (8Ir1) 2ts, ts delay time; when the overload current is > 8Ir1, it is automatically converted to a time-limited protection characteristic. The time-limited protection characteristic is shown in Table 6. The time-limited protection error is ±15%.

Functions of M-type intelligent controller


a. Ammeter function
Displays the operating current and ground leakage current of each phase, normally displays the maximum phase current, and can also display the current value or time value of setting, test and fault.
b. Voltmeter function
Displays the voltage of each line, normally displays the maximum value.
c. Remote monitoring and self-diagnosis function
①The controller has the function of self-diagnosis of local faults
When the computer fails, it can issue an error "E" display or alarm, and restart the computer at the same time. When the user needs it, the circuit breaker can also be disconnected.
②When the local ambient temperature reaches 80℃, it can issue an alarm and disconnect the circuit breaker at a lower current (when the user needs it).
③The intelligent controller has overload, grounding, short circuit, load monitoring, pre-alarm, trip indication (OCR) and other signals output through contacts or optical coupling, which is convenient for users to use external remote control. The contact capacity is DC28V, 3A; AC125V, 3A.

d. Setting function
The various parameters of the controller can be set by using the four buttons of setting, field, day, and storage. Press the setting key to set the state to be set (indicated by the status indicator light), then press the field or day key to adjust the parameter size to the required value, and then press the storage key. The storage light will light up once to indicate that the setting value has been locked, and the protection parameters of the controller must not be cross-set. After the controller is powered off and reset, press the setting key again to check the various set parameters in a cycle.
e. Test function
The various protections of the controller can be checked by using the setting field, day, trip, non-trip, and position keys. Use the setting field and day keys to adjust a test current that simulates a fault (note: do not press the storage lock), and then press the trip or non-trip key to test, and the controller can enter the fault processing. Press the trip key to disconnect the circuit breaker, press the non-trip key to disconnect the circuit breaker, and the various indication states of the controller are normal. After the test, you need to press the position or clear light key before you can perform other tests.
Note: For the convenience of testing, the ground leakage is set to the tripping or alarming position, and the test is tripped, and the priority is lower than the overload protection. Once a fault occurs during the test, the controller automatically stops all tests and enters the fault processing.

f. Load monitoring function

Set two values, ILc1 setting range (0.2-1) In, ILc2 setting range (0.2-1) In. ILc1 delay characteristics are inverse time characteristics, and its time setting value is 1/2 of the long delay setting value; ILc2 delay characteristics have two types, the first is the inverse time function, and its time setting value is 1/4 of the long delay setting value, and the second is the fixed time, and its delay time is 60s. These two delay functions, the former is used to disconnect the lower unimportant load when the current is close to the overload setting value, and the latter is used when the current exceeds ILc1 Setting value, after the lower unimportant load is disconnected, the current is reduced, so that the main circuit and important load circuit protection power supply, when the current drops to ILc2,When the power is off, it will issue a command after a certain delay to reconnect the circuit that has been cut off at the lower level, and restore the power supply of the entire system. The user can choose one of the above two monitoring protections. The monitoring characteristics are shown in Figures 3 and 4.

g.MCR tripping and simulated tripping protection can be turned off according to user requirements. It is generally necessary to turn off when doing short-delay breaking tests.
①MCR connection and breaking protection is mainly used when closing the circuit breaker in the fault state of the line (the moment the controller is powered on). The controller has the function of breaking the circuit breaker at low short-circuit current. The factory setting is 10KA, with an error of +20%. The set current can be determined according to user requirements.
②The controller is equipped with the function of directly sending a tripping signal when a particularly large short-circuit current occurs, without the signal being processed by the host chip.
h. Thermal memory function
After the controller is overloaded or short-circuited and delayed tripped, before the controller is powered off, it has a memory function that simulates the characteristics of the bimetallic strip. The overload energy is released after 30 minutes, and the short-delay energy is released after 15 minutes. During this period, if an overload or short-delay fault occurs, the tripping time will be shortened, the controller will be powered off, and the energy will be automatically cleared.
